Delores Anne Schneider, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 17th, 2024 at the age of 71. Her departure leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who knew her.
Born on May 14th, 1953 in Omaha Nebraska, Delores was the beloved daughter of Harold and Marjorie (Johnson) Wallace. She grew up with a love for family, a passion for helping others, and a heart full of kindness. Delores married the love of her life, Robert Schneider, on June 12th, 1975. Together, they built a life rooted in love, faith, and devotion, raising three children who were her greatest joy.
Delores was a pillar of her community, dedicating much of her time to volunteer work and charitable causes. She was an avid gardener, a talented baker, and a master of crafting thoughtful gifts that brought joy to those around her. Her laugh could brighten any room and her wisdom and warmth made her a treasured confidante.
She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Robert Schneider; her children, Karen Thompson (Michael), Steven Schneider (Rachel), and Emily Hayes (James); her six adored grandchildren, which she affectionately called her "sunshine crew); her siblings Charles Wallace and Margaret Harper; and countless extended family and dear friends.
Delores is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Marjorie Wallace, and her younger brother, Henry Wallace.
A celebration of Delores' life will be held on Saturday December 28th, 2024 at 11:00 AM. Friends and family are invited to gather for a reception following the service. In honor of Delores, the family requests donations be made to her favorite charity, Habitat for Humanity, in lieu of flowers.
