Jacob Daniel Adley, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2024, at the age of 67. His warmth, wisdom, and unwavering love for his family will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Born on March 12, 1957, in Austin, Texas, Jacob was the eldest of four siblings and the beloved son of William and Margaret Adley. A natural leader and nurturer, Jacob carried those traits into every aspect of his life, creating a legacy defined by love and kindness.
Jacob married his soulmate, Patricia Adley, in 1980, and together they shared 44 years of unwavering devotion. A proud father of three, Jacob cherished his role as a guiding presence in their lives and as a playful, doting grandfather to his five grandchildren.
Jacob had a fulfilling career as a high school history teacher, inspiring generations of students with his passion for storytelling and his belief in the power of education. Outside of the classroom, he loved tending to his garden, fishing at the local lake, and sharing stories with friends over a cup of coffee.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Adley; his children, Michael Adley (Laura), Jennifer Torres (Victor), and Sarah Adley; his grandchildren, Emily, Lucas, Ava, Mateo, and Sophia; his siblings, Richard Adley (Cynthia), Teresa Cole (David), and Barbara Walker (Tom); and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Jacob is preceded in death by his parents, William and Margaret Adley.
A celebration of Jacob’s life will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 1:00 PM. A reception will follow to share memories and honor the remarkable man he was.
Jacob Daniel Adley will be remembered for his selfless devotion to family, his dedication to education, and his ability to bring people together. His love and light will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
