Rachel Julia Johnson, a loving mother, sister, daughter, and friend, passed away on December 14, 2024, at the age of 43. Her life was a testament to kindness, strength, and an unwavering love for her family and friends.
Born on February 9, 1981, in Denver, Colorado, Rachel was the second of three children born to Peter and Linda Johnson. Growing up, she displayed a natural talent for creativity and compassion, which she carried throughout her life.
Rachel was a devoted mother to her two children, Olivia and Ethan, who were her greatest source of pride and joy. She cherished every moment with them, from helping with school projects to cheering them on at their games and performances. Her warmth and guidance were the foundation of their lives.
Professionally, Rachel was a dedicated social worker who tirelessly advocated for families and children in need. Her colleagues and clients admired her compassion, resilience, and ability to bring hope to even the most challenging situations. Outside of work, Rachel loved gardening, reading, and hiking in the mountains she called home.
She is survived by her children, Olivia and Ethan Johnson; her parents, Peter and Linda Johnson; her siblings, Mark Johnson (Emily) and Susan Carter (James); her nieces, nephews, and a close-knit circle of friends who became family.
Rachel is preceded in death by her beloved grandmother, Julia, with whom she shared a special bond.
A memorial service to celebrate Rachel’s life will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at 2:00 PM.
Rachel Julia Johnson will be remembered for her boundless love, selflessness, and the light she brought into the lives of everyone she met. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
